Annabel Dover uses the versatility of painting and drawing to recreate new landscapes and situations provoking the idea of memory and nostalgia, narratives and lies. After completing an MA at Central St. Martins Dover focused more on the autobiographical nature of her work and is currently working on the idea of spying and its subsequent pursuits, painting familiar scenes from her childhood, catching cobwebs in her studio and working on drawings from the house of Anne Frank. She is currently engaged in a Fine Art PhD – the subject of which is people’s emotional attachment to objects. Dover exhibits nationally and internationally and has shown in London, Vienna, Paris, Los Angeles and Germany. She is currently represented by Transition Gallery, London.
